Clock change alert for anyone scheduling between Nigeria and the US.
Nigeria stays on West Africa Time (UTC+1) all year. The US moves its clocks back this Sunday, 1 November.
The gap changes:
• New York: 5 hours behind Lagos now, 6 hours from 1 November
• Los Angeles: 8 hours behind now, 9 hours from 1 November.
A recurring 9:00 AM New York call is 2:00 PM in Lagos today and 3:00 PM from next week. Nobody changed the meeting.
The clocks did.
My checklist for a clock-change week:
1. Review every recurring meeting with US attendees through early November.
2. Confirm times in writing with both zones: "9:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM WAT".
3. Check the calendar's time zone setting. In Google Calendar, you can also display a secondary time zone.
4. Resend reminders for early-morning slots.
Other regions change their clocks on different dates, so check the ones that matter to your team.
Pay-once day planner for iPhone, iPad, Watch and Mac:
- New UI and D / W / M / Y zoom slider
- New Library
- Native split layout for iPhone Duo
- On-device SiriAI for charts and day planning
- Tasks, events, habits, notes, voice memos, photos and places on one timeline
The same Gantt chart, twice: the bars stretch across months, then collapse into hours as the product takes over. One chart, two timelines, no explanation needed.
