Had several people ask for tips to grow on Contra. Here are a few...
- Invoice a few existing clients through Contra for social proof like testimonials and $ earned.
- Focus on a core service to start. In reality I do web design and product design, but on Contra I only showcase website services.
- Rates will be lower than traditional word of mouth because there's no trust yet and people shop around. So, my hourly is lower on Contra, but will increase over time.
- Get a pro account for at least a month so you understand what exactly affects discoverability scores.
I'm still relatively low on the 'success scale' on here, and want to hear your tips too!
