Most authors focus on grammar first.

But grammar is rarely what makes readers stop reading.

More often, it's: • Slow pacing • Weak character motivation • Plot holes • Unclear stakes • Scenes that don't move the story forward

A perfectly edited sentence can't fix a story structure problem.

That's why developmental and structural editing matter before line editing.

When I review a manuscript, I look at the bigger picture first—because a strong foundation makes every word work harder.

Why overcomplicating your layout kills readability. Most content-heavy sites fail because they try to show everything at once. Sidebars, badges, related articles, and tiny fonts create cognitive overload. The user gets tired after two paragraphs and leaves.

Good design is about aggressive editing. You need to manage where the eye goes first.

In this layout, the hierarchy does all the work: • A massive headline sets the mood and context instantly • Generous white space prevents visual fatigue • The clean grid ensures the reader actually focuses on the text

We don't need complex decorations to make a web page look expensive. We just need perfect typography and discipline.

Just wrapped up The Hunt, my submission for the RENOISE Challenge.

This project was all about building tension through atmosphere rather than dialogue or gore. Every shot, discarded iteration, and transition was explored inside the Renoise Canvas until the pacing felt right. Sometimes the best creative decision is knowing what not to keep.

The attached workflow shows the complete production process—from early experiments and unused generations to the assets that made the final cut.
