mori, from catalog to booked.
"hm po?" "available pa po sa saturday?" "magkano po delivery sa malolos?"
if you've ever bought from a small shop in the philippines, you know this thread. mori's orders still lived in it.
the first glow-up mori is my partner's handmade-bouquet studio in poblacion, guiguinto, bulacan: one person making every satin, fuzzy wire, plush and money bouquet by hand, while studying.
in july i built her first site for the base44 x contra challenge, moricreate.base44.app. it didn't stay a contest entry. it became the real catalog of the business, the one place customers can browse everything she's made instead of digging through facebook albums. since it went live, her facebook page grew from ~900 to ~1,700 followers. almost double.
what was still manual the catalog brought people in. everything after that was still her, in messenger: which times are open, how much delivery costs, checking payment screenshots, answering "kailan po darating?". most of those messages come in at night, and almost 8 in 10 of her visitors are on their phones.
so round two had one goal: her job is to make the flowers, and the site handles the rest.
the customer's side → pick a bouquet from the collection. fixed prices, what you see is what you get. it opens with 21 of her pieces and grows toward her best 50. custom orders stay a messenger conversation, since they're a small share of orders. → pick a day and a 30-minute window between 8am and 6pm. 5 slots a day, plus 2 rush slots for tomorrow at +9% until 6pm today, up to 90 days ahead. only open times show. → pick up at the studio for free, or get it delivered across 212 cities and towns — metro manila, bulacan, pampanga and ten more provinces around the studio. paste your google maps pin, any format the phone gives you. a map shows the pin, you drag it to your exact gate, and the delivery fee appears before you pay. → pay with gcash or any bank app through a qr ph code while your slot is held for 5 minutes, with one "need more time?" if you need it. if someone takes your time first, mori says so and offers the nearest open ones. nothing you typed is lost. → a wax seal, drawn entirely in code, presses onto your order. you get an order code, an "add to calendar", and a tracking page that follows it: paid, preparing, out for delivery with the rider's link, delivered with a photo at the door.
the owner's side → a private studio, phone-first: orders for today, upcoming and past, with search and what completed orders earned → each order shows the pin on a map, the customer's number to call, the rider booking and "mark delivered" with a photo → a calendar to close a day, change how many slots it takes, and see that day's orders → bouquets she adds straight from her camera, shrunk before upload so the site stays fast → delivery towns she can switch on or off, a telegram ping for every new order, and reminders when her phone or messenger link is missing
under the hood (for readers outside the philippines) → paymongo is a philippine payment gateway, think stripe for the ph. mori's pay screen is built around its qr ph flow: people scan and pay with gcash, the country's most-used e-wallet, or any bank app. during the challenge the code is a stand-in and one tap confirms the booking; going live is connecting her paymongo account, and from then on the booking confirms itself the moment the payment lands. → lalamove is the on-demand motorbike courier small sellers here use for same-day delivery. mori prices the trip from the studio to the customer's pin and gives her a one-tap booking link on every order. → google maps links from phones arrive as short links, share text, apple maps links or plain coordinates. mori reads all of them, never rewrites what you typed, and checks the pin sits inside the town you picked. → each 30-minute slot is held while someone pays, so two people can't book the same time. customer details stay private: the public tracker only shows a first name and a masked number.
honest status payment, the lalamove rider and the telegram alerts run in test mode during the challenge. going live is connecting her paymongo and lalamove business accounts, not a rebuild. moricreate.base44.app stays up for her customers until this one takes over.
try it moricraft.base44.app → book a bouquet → on the pay screen, tap "confirm payment". or type F8Q4MB on "track my order" to see an order on its way — or M4R9LW to see one delivered, photo at the door and all. the owner studio is private, so it's in the walkthrough video.
why it looks like this her customers find her on facebook, on their phones, so mori is mobile-first and quiet: ivory and charcoal, a serif "mori", her real bouquets drifting behind the name, and small blooms that draw themselves when you choose something. booking should feel a little like receiving a gift.
thank you @Base44 for helping a one-person flower shop feel bigger than it is🌸
