A client reached out to me for a project but requested that I create a design concept first “to verify the quality of my work” even after we had reviewed my portfolio together and I had walked him through my design process and the results it has delivered. He still insisted on a redesign test. He sent over a design generated from an AI platform and asked me to improve it. At first, I was skeptical about doing a test project… but I decided to go ahead with it. In 1 hour and 20 minutes, I created two clean concepts, and he was genuinely impressed.
