A property manager lists a home on one platform, tracks the tenant in a CRM, chases rent in a spreadsheet, and logs repairs in a group chat.
That’s four tools for one property. And the information never matches across them.
So I rebuilt Nestate to fix that.
Nestate is a real estate platform where listing a property and managing it live in the same place. The first version looked right. This rebuild does what it’s supposed to.
Here’s what changed:
→ List and manage in one platform. A property is added once. It appears in the marketplace for buyers, renters, and short-term guests, and the same record feeds the management dashboard. No re-entering details somewhere else.
→ Tenants, leases, and payments in one record. Who lives where, when the lease ends, what’s been paid, and what’s overdue all connect to the same property. No separate CRM to keep updated.
→ Maintenance that doesn’t get lost. A request moves through New, In Progress, Waiting for Parts, and Resolved, and links to work orders. Everyone can see where things stand.
→ A dashboard that answers “is everything okay?” Occupancy, rent collected, outstanding balance, and upcoming lease expirations sit at the top, so a manager knows how the month is going in seconds.
→ Search that works for the people looking. The marketplace side has real filters, a map, saved properties, short-term stay booking, and a mortgage calculator, so a listing reaches people who are ready to act.
The design stays calm: white cards, a deep navy sidebar, and a single indigo accent. The marketplace persuades, and the dashboard reassures.
What I took from this rebuild: the real product isn’t the listing page or the dashboard. It’s the connection between them. When the information lives in one place, nothing gets out of sync.
If you manage properties, what’s the one tool you’d most like to stop switching to?
