What I built. XRayAI, an AI that reads a card processing statement and shows a business owner every fee in plain English.
Around 90 percent of US businesses overpay for card processing and most owners cannot read their own statements. Upload one and XRayAI tags interchange, separates network cost from processor markup, flags non compliance fees and benchmarks you against similar businesses. Vetted payment providers then get a pipeline of merchants who already know their numbers.
Three things that made it work
Claude reads the statement the way a payments analyst would. The pipeline cleans the PDF first, so the model only sees clean numbers.
Every output traces back to a line on the merchant’s own statement. No traceability, no trust, no product.
Data never reaches a provider until the merchant opts in, and that rule lives in code, not on a policy page.
Merchants typically find 10 to 30 percent in savings on their first upload. Built with Next.js, Python and Claude.
