When HR is working, nobody notices.
When it’s broken, everyone feels it.
That’s the paradox.
Great HR is invisible, but essential. It protects velocity, nurtures motivation, and keeps the team aligned so engineers can build, not fight fires.
Strong engineering culture isn’t about perks or Slack emojis. It’s about motivated people who feel trusted and supported enough to move fast.
HR and engineering culture are connected. You can’t have one without the other.
When it’s working, you won’t notice it.
When it’s not, you can’t ignore it.
