I’ve noticed what appears to be a growing issue with fake engagement in the Top Community Promoters and Community Favorites rankings. It seems that some accounts may be using fake profiles or artificial likes to increase their chances of winning prizes.
As a genuine creator, this is disappointing because it makes it harder for honest designers and developers to get the recognition they deserve. It also reduces trust in the fairness of the platform.
I truly believe Contra was built to support real, independent creators and reward authentic work. I hope the Contra team can take a closer look at this issue by improving verification, detecting fake engagement, and removing fraudulent accounts.
A transparent and fair community benefits everyone, and I’m confident these improvements will help maintain the trust that makes Contra such a valuable platform. @Ben Huffman@Jonathan Bensimon@Contra HQ@Contra
Never really thought my first features on Contra would feel this reassuring. Seeing both Direct Design and Nexterra get picked by the Contra team honestly means a lot.
There’s always that little doubt when you put your work out there, wondering if it’s good enough, if the right people are seeing it or if you’re moving in the right direction.
So this was a really nice reminder to keep going and keep making things I believe in.
Thank you to the Contra team for noticing the work and for the little bit of encouragement I didn’t know I needed. 🫶
