Isometric designs can be tough to control. However, there's a hack where you can turn regular designs (right) into isometric perspective (left). It's all about rotations (45 deg) and scaling Y (57.7%)

This way I can preserve the nice details — dotted lines and hexagonal patterns — while making it a dream (and not a nightmare) to animate it
