πŸš€ Built NexusStream β€” a real-time IoT analytics platform.
This project was my transition from building simple monolithic apps to designing event-driven, microservices-based systems.

🧠 What I focused on
Instead of just building features, I focused on:
Real-time data pipelines
Service-to-service communication
System scalability and tradeoffs
Time-series data handling

πŸ—οΈ System Highlights
Microservices architecture (Node.js + Python)
Redis Pub/Sub for real-time event streaming
WebSocket-based live data visualization
InfluxDB for high-frequency time-series storage
Magic Link (passwordless) authentication
Fully orchestrated using Docker Compose

πŸ“Š Performance Snapshot
~15,000 events/sec ingestion
~120ms end-to-end latency
<50ms anomaly detection window
500+ concurrent WebSocket clients (local testing)

πŸ› οΈ Tech Stack
React β€’ Node.js β€’ FastAPI β€’ Redis β€’ InfluxDB β€’ PostgreSQL β€’ Docker

🧠 Key Takeaway
This project helped me move from writing backend code β†’ to designing systems where data flows, scales, and reacts in real time.

Open to feedback and collaboration on real-time systems, backend engineering, and data platforms. github repository: https://lnkd.in/dd5SVir4 (More details about the Nexus Stream is in the readme of github repo.)
