Something I like to do early in my design process is test animations. There’s no need to build these with complex apps or wait until development.

I’ve been using Figma Smart Animate for years to present animations to my clients early in the design process and help them align with my vision.

Most of them are not 100% accurate to the final result, and I wish we had a timeline feature in Figma, but you can build so much more than simple hovers.

I’ve saved so much time in several projects knowing that most of the complex animations are already approved, so we’re safe to build them and fine tune the timelines and easing during development to nail everything down.
