Lesson from building Cartkoro, my multi-vendor e-commerce side project: never trust item prices from the browser. At checkout the server ignores any item price the client sends, re-reads each one from the database and rebuilds the item subtotal itself, so editing the cart can't lower a product's price. If the client sends a total that doesn't match, the order is rejected.

Update: QuoteDesk now has a chat front door.
Some clients would rather ask than fill in a form. So I put an AI agent in front of QuoteDesk (built on Agentplace) that handles the first part in conversation:
• One question at a time, with an itemized estimate from the same price rules ($246.50 for a deep clean every 2 weeks with oven, the same figure QuoteDesk computes).
• "Two cats, fourth-floor walk-up" written down for the crew.
• No invented answers: insurance and same-day requests go to the team by email, and no slot is ever confirmed in chat.
The last step is one button, "Get my exact quote", which opens QuoteDesk. That's where the price is locked on the server, the quote is emailed, and the single 24h follow-up takes over.

I run a small WooCommerce store selling pet supplies. 5 things it taught me that I now check on every client site
1) Photos are usually why a store is slow. One 3 MB banner can cost you 20 seconds on a phone.
2) Two caching plugins don't make a site twice as fast. They fight each other.
3) Never cache the cart or checkout. It breaks in ways customers notice before you do.
4) Clear shipping times on the product page do more than a fancy theme.
5) Most visitors are on a phone. Test there first, not on your laptop.

Ali this is exactly what running your own store teaches you that client work never does. I had the same experience running Meta Ads for my own Shopify store before offering it as a service. I built an AI agent that types customer orders into QuickBooks, so you don't have to type.
Many distributors still pay someone to retype every customer order: a PDF purchase order here, an email there, a spreadsheet, even a text message. A part-time order clerk costs about $1,500 a month.
So I built an Order Desk Agent. When an order arrives, it:
reads it in any format (PDF, email, spreadsheet, text)
finds the customer and matches every line to the product list
converts units (each, dozen, case) and uses that customer's contract price
drafts the QuickBooks sales order and the confirmation reply
The important part: nothing goes into QuickBooks without a person's OK. Anything unusual is flagged, not guessed: a price below contract, a quantity far above normal, an item it can't match.
In the picture: a hotel's PDF purchase order (middle) becomes a draft sales order (right). 6 of 6 lines matched, units converted to cases, and 1 price difference flagged for review. Sample data, from my 2-minute demo.
