I hate joining sales calls feeling unprepared. Website leads often don’t give much to go on. I fixed this with a simple n8n setup that does the "homework" for me before the first call.
It’s triggered right after my "Auto-Reply" workflow sends the first email:
Trigger: Chained to my initial response flow.
Research: Perplexity scans for information.
Analysis: GPT-5 scores the lead against my ICP and creates a briefing.
If it’s a high-match, I get a Slack alert to act quickly. Everything else is logged in Airtable for a follow-up a bit later.
I still reply to everyone fast, but this helps me decide when to interrupt and when a lead can wait an hour.
The workflow is straightforward—the real effort is in the prompts.
