MTV is an iconic entertainment brand recognized globally for music culture, youth-focused content, and bold visual identity.
✨ Project Overview
I created a stylized logo animation for MTV inspired by retro broadcast aesthetics, digital distortion, and MTV’s rebellious visual culture.
The animation combines warped grid environments, glitch effects, RGB separation, and analog-inspired motion to recreate the raw energy associated with classic music television branding. The goal was to make the logo feel alive inside a distorted digital space rather than simply revealing it on screen.
The final piece leans heavily into nostalgia while still feeling modern, graphic, and visually aggressive.

Deliver a bold, instantly recognizable visual identity piece
🧠 The Challenge
The biggest challenge was balancing chaos with clarity.
Glitch-heavy animations can quickly become visually noisy, so the motion had to feel intentional rather than random. The distortion effects, RGB splitting, and warped perspective all needed to enhance the identity of the logo instead of distracting from it.
The pacing also had to reflect MTV’s energetic personality while maintaining a clean final reveal.
