I created this storytelling video starting with the moment I found out I was pregnant and the thoughts that immediately came with it. Through a personal and emotional narrative, I turned a real-life experience into relatable short-form content designed to hook the audience, build connection, and keep viewers engaged until the end.

Inspired by the optimistic retro-futurism of the 1960s, this film takes a playful look at tomorrow — with a little nostalgia, a lot of imagination, and a future that’s not quite what we expected.
Huge thanks to LAAIMPA for this honor, and to everyone who watched, voted, and supported the film. You made this journey even more special!
Congratulations to all the amazing October winners! 🎬✨
The future is still being written. See you in the next frame 🚀

Congrats on the Audience Choice Award. The retro-futurist idea sounds like a fun one to watch.
WHAT DID WE TRADE FOR TOMORROW?
I created a visual storytelling series that explores how technology and progress have transformed the simple, human experiences of everyday life.
The series moves from handwritten letters to instant messages, family gatherings to digital connections, outdoor childhood to screens, local markets to online shopping, and human teaching to AI-assisted learning.
For this project, I created a custom Recraft style inspired by traditional Japanese archival illustrations, using delicate hand-drawn linework, aged paper textures, expressive characters, and a warm historical visual language. I then combined this old-world style with modern technology to create a contrast between the past and present.
Rather than portraying technology as simply good or bad, the project asks a question:
WHAT DID WE TRADE FOR TOMORROW?
Progress gives us speed, convenience and new possibilities — but what happens to the human connections, traditions and simple moments we leave behind?
Old ways. New technology. Same human emotions.
