Healthcare Email Marketing: Persuasion Without Compromising Trust
How can healthcare brands use urgency and bold claims to encourage action without misleading patients?
In my latest article, I explore practical ways to write persuasive healthcare emails while protecting patient trust and addressing key advertising considerations in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
Inside the article:
Realistic urgency vs. misleading scarcity
Bold claims vs. unsupported health promises
Why fear-based messaging can damage trust
A 5-point checklist before sending healthcare emails
My approach: Strong healthcare copy should earn attention, communicate value, and encourage action—without making promises it cannot support.
Title: Why 80% of your new email subscribers never buy or donate
Most brands work so hard on top of funnel traffic. You run ads, post on social media, and get people to sign up for your newsletter.
Then you send them a generic welcome email with a discount code and complete silence for two weeks.
Here is what happens when you do that:
Your subscribers forget who you are within 48 hours
Your open rates drop on every future broadcast
Readers feel like just another metric on your list instead of an insider
A generic confirmation email does not build trust. A strategic 3-part sequence tells your core origin story, sets clear expectations, and guides new subscribers toward their first purchase or donation while their interest is at its peak.
If your welcome flow feels dry or non-existent, I write 3-part custom on boarding sequences that turn cold signups into warm, loyal community members.

A brand identity project I worked on in March 2026 for HealthSense, a Singapore-based health and wellness information brand focused on making health knowledge clear, accessible, and easy to understand.
The client envisioned something simple, clean, and modern, but with meaning behind it. I explored a minimal wordmark with a medical cross integrated into the lettering, creating a direct connection to healthcare while keeping the identity clear, professional, and memorable.
I decided to be the client this round to focus on increasing my leads.
Wanted to test out gamified/interesting activities related to my products and services that could help pick someone's interest like other interactive ads. Decided to make a reflection based activity as that is what I have been my recent focus.
The goal was to keep things simple and clean, and to build something that would not require alot of upkeep. Only three main pages, along with CTAs on each page, and leading to the other pages that build pathways to progressive action, including reaching out to me.
Reflect and Act Challenge is made so that a user would get actually use out of it regardless if they be come a solid lead. I also made it with the pragmatic reality that credits run out, and so the base functions still work.
Smart pivot being your own client Korbin! Love the reflection-based lead magnet idea - "Sit with the question. Leave with an action." is such a strong hook for your products/services. Gamified + introspective = perfect combo for Base44!
