Title: Podium — a season library tool for orchestra librarians
Tagline: The internal tool orchestras don't have: tracking parts, bowings, and distribution for an entire season, in one place.
Description:
Every orchestra has a librarian quietly keeping the whole operation running — tracking which parts are rented vs. owned, whether the bowings are marked before rehearsal, and who currently has which stand's music sitting on their stand. Right now that job runs on spreadsheets, paper checklists, and institutional memory. I wanted to see what a purpose-built tool for that role could look like.
Podium is a 4-screen prototype covering the full workflow: a season library view showing every work in rotation with its parts-prep status at a glance, a score detail view breaking that down section by section, a prep checklist for marking up bowings stand by stand with a live progress counter, and a distribution screen for tracking which musician has which part and when it's due back.
I built it in Flowstep, aiming for something closer to a rare-book catalog than a typical SaaS dashboard — warm paper background, a single brass accent, serif for the repertoire, monospace for every number. It's a niche profession nobody else was likely to design for, which is exactly why I wanted to build it.

Everyone has something they could teach and something they're dying to learn but most "learning platforms" turn that into a paid course catalog. Barter throws out money entirely: you list what you can teach (Rubik's Cube, coffee art, coding, guitar, whatever) and what you want to learn, and the app matches you with someone whose "teach" lines up with your "learn" and vice versa. It's less LinkedIn Learning, more a well-designed community bulletin board human-to-human trade, not a course marketplace.
What it does:
1.} Discover : swipe through people nearby based on skill overlap, not just profile photos
2.} Match :when two people's teach/learn lists cross, you get paired instantly
3.} Messages : chat stays anchored to the actual trade (what you're teaching, what you're learning) so it never turns into a generic DM thread
4.} Calendar :propose and confirm real time slots for sessions, Google-Calendar-style
5.} Live Session : a dedicated space for the actual exchange, with shared notes and progress tracking
6.} Profile & Dashboard : track skills you're teaching, skills you're learning, hours logged, and your exchange streak
The design idea: every skill category has its own visual language terminal/monospace touches for coding, waveform and album layouts for music, recipe-card warmth for cooking, flashcards for languages but it all lives inside one consistent design system, so switching between what you're learning never feels like switching apps.
How I built it: Prototyped in Flowstep, wired into Claude Desktop via MCP so I could design, iterate, and refine screens conversationally rather than jumping between tools went screen by screen (Discover → Skill Details → Match → Success → Messages → Calendar → Live Session → Dashboard → Profile), anchoring exact colors, typography, and interaction rules in each prompt, then wired the navigation between them on the canvas.
I'm a solopreneur and I work nights. Money isn't the thing I run out of, focus is. So I built a bank for it.
Your focus is the money. Deep work earns you deposits. Doom scrolling is a withdrawal, and it charges you every time. There's a ledger, a weekly statement, the whole thing. This week my biggest expense was Twitter, followed closely by clients asking for a third revision.
And if you burn more focus than you had, the bank sends you a very serious overdraft notice for the crime of staying up too late.
It's a stiff old bank that takes your nonsense completely seriously. Seven screens, all built in Flowstep.
