When I first came across the #GiveItAGlow challenge, I started looking around for local businesses that could benefit from a better digital presence. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized there was no need to search far. I wanted to work on something that felt meaningful—something that celebrated tradition while solving a real problem.
That's how I ended up building a website for Kinis Vasari, a local business known for its authentic homemade GSB delicacies. Their products already carried the quality, care, and heritage that customers loved, but their online presence didn't reflect that same experience. I wanted to create a platform that would make discovering their products just as enjoyable as tasting them.
Using Base44, I built a complete digital storefront where customers can explore traditional recipes, browse homemade products, and place orders through a clean, modern, and mobile-friendly experience. Every design decision was made to preserve the warmth and authenticity of the brand while making it easier for new customers to connect with it.
One of the parts I enjoyed building the most was the automation behind the experience. Once an order is placed, customers instantly receive a professional confirmation email with all their order details, while the business has everything organized digitally for easier order management. It's a small feature on the surface, but it removes repetitive manual work and gives customers immediate confidence that their order has been received.
Working on this project reminded me that digital transformation isn't always about adding flashy features or using the latest technology. Sometimes it's simply about making life easier for both the business owner and the customer while staying true to what makes the business special in the first place.
Kinis Vasari has spent years preserving traditional recipes. I wanted to help preserve that tradition in a digital world by giving it an online presence that feels just as authentic as the food it serves.
A huge thank you to Base44 for making it possible to turn this idea into a working product in such a short time. This project challenged me not just as a developer, but as someone who wanted to build something with real value for a real local business.
Kinis Vasari — Tradition Served with Love. ❤️
