WordPress vs Webflow vs Custom CMS — pick the wrong one and you'll pay for it later.
Quick breakdown of how I decide:
WordPress → content-heavy sites, need every plugin under the sun, budget-conscious. Flexible but needs upkeep.
Webflow → design-first brands, marketing teams who want control without touching code. Beautiful, fast, but limited backend power.
Custom CMS (MERN) → unique workflows, complex data, scaling fast. Built exactly for you — costs more upfront, pays off long-term.
There's no "best" platform. Just the right one for what you're actually building.

Why did I choose WordPress when I could have specialized in React, Laravel or something else?
A few years ago, I had the same question.
Should I chase every new framework...
or become really good at solving real business problems?
I chose the second option.
At first, WordPress seemed like "just another CMS."
The more I worked with it, the more I realized something important:
Most businesses don't need another fancy tech stack.
They need a website that:
loads fast;
is easy to manage;
ranks well in Google;
converts visitors into customers;
doesn't become a maintenance nightmare six months later.
That's where WordPress shines.
Over time, I stopped seeing it as a CMS.
I started seeing it as a platform.
I've built custom themes, WooCommerce stores, API integrations, business tools, performance optimizations, and plenty of custom functionality using PHP and JavaScript.
Could I switch to another stack?
Absolutely.
But today I'd rather become exceptional at delivering value than average at ten different frameworks.
Technology changes.
Helping businesses solve problems doesn't.
