I was looking for a completely different file… and somehow landed on this old design. And for a minute, it took me straight back to the time when I used to create A+ Content for Amazon without AI.
The image on the left was created almost 5 years ago, and everything you see in it was manually manipulated in Photoshop.
The pan.
The stove.
The fire.
The smoke.
The steam.
The lighting.
Every element had to be placed, blended, adjusted, and made to feel like it belonged in the same scene. Seeing it again honestly gave me flashbacks of how much work used to go into creating a single visual like this.
Then I had a thought: Let's give the whole direction to AI and see what it creates.
30 secs for the prompt.
30 secs for image creation, and you have a solid base ready to work with.
The process has changed massively. But I also think knowing how to build something manually changes the way you direct AI.
So I’m curious, do you think designers who learned the “before AI” way have an advantage now, or is that becoming less important?

Welcome to Contra! That floating villa shot is a strong opener for a reel. Since you're doing AI video and avatars at scale, what's been the trickier part to nail consistently, keeping the avatars looking believable across scenes, or getting the motion to not feel stiff?

It was all about turning a very ordinary e-commerce journey into something more visual, playful, and a little unexpected.
Now I’m curious about one thing:
Would this actually make you want to buy? Or would you bounce because it feels like too much for something as simple as frozen food?
Frozen food is actually the category where it can work, because the shelf equivalent is forty near-identical bags under the same blue light and nothing helps you choose. The bounce risk isn't the playfulness, it's whether motion ever sits between me and a price, a weight or a cook time. Keep those static and I'd stay.
