Numbers don't lie (but sometimes they're misleading)
Quick glance at this Google Ads performance data and you might think changing agencies was a great move for the client!
August to October is smooth. Revenue barely dropped from my 20k average. The new agency even boasted a 6x return compared to my 4x.
....but the agency was manipulating conversion tracking. By including checkout data in conversion actions, they created an illusion of success. What appears to be a 18.5k revenue with a 6x return was in fact a 4.5k revenue with just a 1.5x return.
By November, when they switched agencies again, their revenue maintained at 4k but with a better return. I have good hopes from this new agency.
Tip for businesses: Always, ALWAYS understand how your tracking has been setup and conversions are being tracked.
