Sometimes a project plunges you into a world completely different from anything you’ve experienced before.
Creating the brand identity for BlackBolt Provisions did exactly that.
The idea at the centre of the brand was something I hadn’t encountered before, but immediately saw the value in: fan recognition.
The challenge was to create a brand that could take people into that world and make a completely new concept feel tangible, relevant and worth paying attention to.
That journey shaped everything from the identity and website to the white paper that explains the bigger idea behind BlackBolt.

That’s why I never start a project thinking about what the logo should look like.
I ask questions. How did you meet? Why did you start? What makes you different? What stories have shaped the business?
Because without that context, you’re designing on assumptions. And assumptions usually lead to work that blends in.

Made for 21 June, when music spills into the streets, squares, bars and gardens of France. Three low-intervention rosés. Three personalities.
