An Excel inventory variance audit designed to compare system quantities with physical stock counts and turn discrepancies into a prioritized review list.
This sample demonstrates how I can:
compare ERP quantities with physical inventory counts
calculate quantity variances automatically
quantify the financial value of each discrepancy
prioritize exceptions by material impact
identify records that require investigation
preserve the original source data
avoid making automatic stock adjustments without human approval
The project uses synthetic data only and was created as a portfolio demonstration.
Best suited for inventory exports, warehouse checks, stock reconciliations and small operational datasets where discrepancies need to be identified and reviewed quickly.
Developed a management accounts reporting process designed to help businesses understand their financial performance and make informed business decisions.
Inventory replenishment — self-initiated Excel demo with fictional data.
Eight SKUs: six ready and two flagged for review. The valid rows propose 45 units across two items. Available stock accounts for reservations and inbound quantities. Missing, negative, fractional and duplicate-key inputs remain visible for review.
Editable workbook with formula-driven reorder quantities. Checks covered input changes, zero versus blank, duplicate keys and restoration of the sample values.
AI-assisted implementation. This is a working demonstration, not client work. Formula and visual checks passed; native Excel application testing was not performed.
