Introducing Rangoli Studio 🌸

Every user gets their own planet.
Upload photos you've taken in nature and watch your world come back to life. Miss a few days and it slowly starts fading again.
Every planet belongs to a real person. Explore the galaxy and discover worlds that other people are growing through their own photos and memories.

Hey Contra — new here but figured I’d share what I’ve been building.
I’ve been posting progress on Twitter, but quick look at where Desk Doodles is at.
It’s basically a canvas that takes any drawing, SVG, or image and pushes it through different hand-drawn treatments — rough sketch, bold ink, stipple, charcoal, etc.
The fun part is that every mark-making modifier is controllable. Wobble, multi-stroke, shading, pen tips, texture, all that stuff.
The fun part is its going to become a live canvas people around the world can put thier own object. Think of it like a desk as a public space!
The bigger goal is an intelligent design system that can look at the source and pick the right treatment per region automatically. So it’s not just “slap a filter on it.” It’s more like the system understanding what kind of marks should go where.
Where it’s at right now:
/audit — 197 reference shapes rendering through every style in real time. This is mostly the engine testbed.
/playground — pick items, place them, tweak modifiers live.
SVG upload is working too.
Still need to ship drawing → 3D, complex SVG → 3D, public canvas, and mode switching.
But yeah, that’s where I’m at right now.
