Whereas: The AI Strategic Partner for Independent Studios

The Problem :
Studios & Designers do great work. That part comes easy. It’s everything around the work that costs you.
Independent designers and small studios rarely have the luxury of dedicated account managers. Instead, they absorb the cost of the promise they forgot they made, the “quick favor” that eats three weeks, and the slow scope creep with nothing in writing to point back to.
The Solution :
Whereas is not another workspace or file storage tool. It is an AI strategic partner built specifically to protect the time and profitability of independent creatives. It thinks alongside you, monitoring every client conversation, flagging scope creep the moment it happens, and advising you on exactly what to do about it.
How It Works :
The Scope Guard: This is the core of the platform. When a client slips in a few new asks during a meeting—like doubling the social assets or adding a website refresh—Whereas measures those requests against the signed scope of work. It flags the exact contract clause being broken, catching the slow scope creep before it turns into unpaid work.
Instant Meeting Intelligence: Drop in a kickoff transcript, and Whereas pulls out pain points, open questions, and requirements, linking each insight to the exact second it was spoken.
Proactive Admin: The moment a meeting is processed, Whereas drafts a follow-up email, generates a list of committed action items, and writes a customized pre-meeting prep brief for your next call.
Context-Aware Contracts: Whereas learns the deliverables, timeline, and budget naturally from early conversations. It only asks for the gaps (like payment schedules) before generating a comprehensive scope of work based on what was actually said.
"Ask Anything" Search: Forget who controls the budget or what was decided last Tuesday? Just ask. The built-in AI chat searches the client's entire relationship history in plain English.
The Workflow & Tech Stack :
This project pushes the boundaries of how Figma can be used for end-to-end functional product creation, bridging the gap between design and a live, intelligent application.
FigJam: Mapped out the core logic, user flows, and database architecture.
Figma MCP: Used to rapidly turn initial ideas and wireframes into tangible, structured screens.
Figma Make: Brought the application to life as a fully working product, utilizing the generated UI.
Figma Design: Refined every UI detail, interaction state, and component by hand to ensure a polished, studio-quality feel.
Supabase: Powers the backend data and logic handling.
Gemini: Drives the core AI intelligence, handling transcript processing, insight extraction, and the semantic search layer.

❤ Why It Was Built
Pip was born out of pure personal necessity. I built it because it was something I desperately needed, and something a few close friends and someone incredibly close to my heart needed too. I wanted to strip away the clinical coldness of modern software and create something beautifully simple that could be truly, deeply helpful on someone's hardest days
⚠️ The Problem
Traditional health apps suffer from "Data Collection Theater." They force users suffering from chronic illness or fatigue to rate dozens of variables daily, causing severe decision fatigue.
Worse, they act as data sinks, dumping raw, chaotic charts onto doctors. In a high-stakes, 15-minute medical consultation, physicians don't have the time to audit raw logs. They need high-yield, synthesized clinical signals, not noise. Pip bridges this gap by assuming "bad days are the default," capturing symptoms effortlessly, and compiling them into a clean, one-page summary sheet.
🛠 The Figma Workflow Pipeline
To bring Pip to life, I leveraged the Figma ecosystem:
Figma Weave: Used to iterate and generate the visual asset layers for Pip’s mascot.
Figma Agent: Brainstormed layouts directly on the canvas, instantly pairing elegant fonts and organizing simple, stress-free forms.
Figma Make: Instantly turned those canvas designs and components into a live, fully working, and responsive web application while allowing rapid iteration.
Which of these two designs is better? I was creating a scrapbook web app, but Figma Make rejected my design and generated its own design instead. What should I do now?

Went with your original Figma design. The spiral notebook layout has actual scrapbook energy that Figma Make's version loses completely. That said, might be worth borrowing the cleaner content area from the generated version and mixing it into your layout.

SINGULARITY is a notch web-based studio for making cool animated graphics, technical drawings, and futuristic interfaces.
It works in your browser and uses special technology to make smooth animations.
The studio has a professional look, with a dark theme, orange accents, and a clean, simple design.
This makes it easy for designers to create and animate graphics and export them in a ready-to-use format, such as MP4.
The tool is great for making all sorts of graphics from animated user interfaces to schematics and cinematic sci-fi interfaces.
It uses an animation engine that makes everything look smooth and realistic.
With SINGULARITY, designers can make high-quality motion graphics and HUDs quickly and easily.
My process:
Pen and paper → Figma make → Using Figma make to generate ideas → Prompting it out as perfectly as I can get it to work → Connected to Supabase → Deployed
