There are projects in my portfolio that I was extremely proud of when I completed them. Today? I'd change the spacing. Simplify certain sections. Approach mobile differently. Improve some interactions. Question a few design decisions. Maybe even rebuild parts entirely. Does that mean the original work was bad? No. It means I've improved. One thing I don't want to happen in my career is looking at something I built three years ago and thinking: โ€œI'd do exactly the same thing today.โ€ Because that would mean I hadn't learned anything. Growth has an interesting side effect: It makes your old best work look less impressive. And I'm okay with that. Every project should leave you slightly better equipped for the next one. Creatives and developers: Do you ever look at your old work and immediately start redesigning it in your head? ๐Ÿ˜‚
