I never once thought of leaving Bubble. And today, I'm even more confident about that decision. πŸš€
When AI coding tools started gaining attention, some of my colleagues encouraged me to explore other platforms. Their argument was understandable: why spend hours building visually when AI can turn prompts into working software?
But Bubble had already given me much more than a way to build apps. It helped me understand product development, UI design, databases, workflows, application logic, and how to turn ideas into functional products. I stayed, kept learning, and kept building.
Then came the Bubble AI Agent. That alone felt like a dream coming true. And now, we have Bubble AI Agent 2 and Bubble MCP. Honestly, this is the kind of progress I've been hoping to see.
What's exciting about Agent 2? πŸ€– Agent 2 brings improved accuracy and reliability, handles more complex builds and edits, and makes it easier to iterate on your app with an integrated preview. You can ask for changes and see the results without constantly switching between editor tabs.
And then there's Bubble MCP! πŸ”₯ Bubble MCP allows you to connect an external AI agent directly to your Bubble app, so you can build and edit your app from the AI tool you already use.
Here's how I connected Bubble to Claude: Open Claude and go to Customize β†’ Connectors. Click + and search for Bubble MCP. Click Connect. Sign in to your Bubble account and approve the requested permissions. Open a chat, click + β†’ Connectors, and turn on Bubble MCP. Select or identify your Bubble project and give Claude your first prompt. And you're ready to start building!
Here's something important to know πŸ‘‡ Bubble MCP is not limited to Claude! According to Bubble's official documentation, you can also connect other supported AI tools, including: ChatGPT by OpenAI Codex by OpenAI Claude and Claude Code VS Code with GitHub Copilot Other compatible MCP clients
For ChatGPT, you'll need to enable Developer Mode, create a custom MCP server connection, enter Bubble's MCP server URL, and authorize your Bubble account using OAuth. The setup differs slightly depending on the tool you're using.
Bubble MCP is currently in beta and doesn't consume your Bubble AI credits, although your AI provider's own usage limits still apply.
My experiment πŸŽ₯ I connected Claude to Bubble through MCP, selected my project, and tested it with a prompt to add a new How It Works page and a few UI elements. The video below shows the result of Claude + Bubble MCP + Bubble. For me, this goes beyond a new feature. Bubble has played a huge part in my growth as a developer, and these updates make me even more excited about what lies ahead.
I never regretted staying with Bubble. And now, I'm even more confident about continuing to build with it.
Bubblers, have you tried Agent 2 or Bubble MCP yet? What has your experience been like?πŸ‘‡
From prompts to products, the possibilities keep growing. πŸš€
Thanks to @Bubble Team.
