Back in April 2026, I experimented with combining music, animation, and character design in my original My Gothic Girlfriend rap music video. It was an exciting opportunity to explore AI-assisted filmmaking and bring my creative ideas to life.
Now, in October 2026, I've revisited that concept and created a new remake, reimagining the visuals and character presentation with an evolved creative approach.
This isn't a revision of the original video. It's a new production inspired by the same concept, allowing me to compare my earlier work with what I'm creating today.
Looking back at these two versions gives me an opportunity to reflect on six months of experimentation, learning, and growth in AI-assisted visual storytelling and music-video production.
Every project teaches me something new, and I'm continuing to explore how music, characters, and cinematic visuals can come together to tell compelling stories.
April was the starting point. October brings a new interpretation. The creative journey continues!

Putting the April original next to the October remake is the most honest way to show progress, better than a before/after of one shot. Besides the tool, what changed in how you briefed the remake? Did you start from the music again, or from the characters this time?

This is a free AI-powered web tool inside KAUREX.in - Upload video, prompt "Adjust to 4:3 with padding, do not crop" and AI recreates video without cutting text/faces.
In this demo:
I uploaded a 16:9 portfolio video that Contra was cropping
Prompted for 4:3 with padding
KAUREX tool added brand-color padding (violet #2D1B4E) and kept full content
Output ready for Contra 4:3 cover, no crop
