Recently, my business partner and I built a WhatsApp AI receptionist using n8n, OpenAI, and Google Workspace.
The project started with a practical business problem: handling customer inquiries, Save customer data in sheet or CRM, appointments, and follow-ups can take up a lot of time when everything is managed manually.
We wanted to bring these tasks together in one workflow and make the process simpler.
Here’s what it handles:
• Customer FAQs: Answers questions about salon services and pricing using Google Sheets.
• Appointment Booking: Collects customer details and manages bookings through Google Calendar.
• Automated Reminders & Follow-ups: Keeps customers informed and helps businesses stay connected.
• Customer Data Management: Keeps customer and booking records organized in Google Sheets and CRM.
What I enjoyed most was connecting different tools and making them work together in one workflow.
Although we built this for a salon, the same approach can be adapted for other businesses that manage customer inquiries, appointments, leads, and repetitive tasks.
We're looking forward to building more practical AI automation solutions that solve real business problems.

For the tax document checklist, I'd match uploads to both the client and tax period before marking an item complete. How do you handle a client uploading last year's statement or a replacement after the checklist has already cleared?

AI Email Automation with n8n and Google Gemini
An AI workflow that reads every incoming email, sorts it into 6 categories, and takes the right action automatically.
The problem: businesses lose time and leads because customer emails are mixed with promotions, job alerts, and security emails.
What I built:
Gmail Trigger that picks up each new email
AI Text Classifier (Google Gemini) with 6 categories: Security Alert, Promotions, Jobs, Personal, Payments, and Client Inquiries
Automatic Gmail labels for every category
Google Sheets log for jobs, leads, and payments
AI information extraction for client emails (name, phone, service, budget)
AI-written reply drafts for client emails, saved as drafts so a person approves every reply
Instant Discord alerts for security, payment, and client emails

This project is a working demo built on my own inbox. The same system can be adapted to any business email, such as travel agencies, event venues, stores, recruiters, and consultants.
Impressive workflow! I especially like the human approval step for AI-written replies. Automation with the right oversight makes a real difference. 🙌
