Contra is full of bots and fake profiles and nobody wants to talk about it.
I left LinkedIn because it became a joke. Fake recruiters, AI slop, bots everywhere. Came here because it looked different. Exclusive. Professional. A place for actual people doing actual work. "Challenges are great"
It's not.
I've had job offers from someone using Mr Beast's photo. $550 gigs from accounts created last week with no portfolio, no history, no real name. I'd say 80% of what I receive here is fake.
This platform sold itself as the alternative. The clean version. And it's turning into the same garbage, maybe worse.
If you're a real human creator reading this just say hi. Share your story in one line. That's it.
I genuinely hope to work with real people here. That's the whole reason I came.
