I moved my outreach email to my own domain this week. Took one evening. MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, full domain alignment. Test sends to Gmail and Outlook. Opened the message headers and checked the verdicts: three passes. Inbox, not spam. Here's why I bothered. This week I signed up for the email lists of several established coaches. Award winners, 20-year practices, real businesses. One welcome email landed in spam. The sender was a platform's shared default domain, never authenticated, chained to the reputation of every other unconfigured account on it. She has no idea. Her list isn't ignoring her. It has literally never seen her. The fix takes under an hour if you know where to look: connect your own sending domain, add three DNS records, verify the passes. Most coaches check their open rates. Almost none check their headers. The second one explains the first. I build and fix email infrastructure for health and wellness practices. The check I ran on my own domain last night is the first thing I run on every audit.
