Meet Brick & Blend. We built it in under 5 days with @Base44 for the #base44challenge.

This was our first time using Base44. We weren't sure at first. We've seen a lot of AI builders make websites that work, but all look the same. So we asked ourselves: can it build something that doesn't look like a template?

We decided to make it hard on purpose. A bold brand, an unusual layout, motion everywhere, and a site that works on every screen, from a big desktop to a small phone. If Base44 could handle that, it could handle anything.

It did. And we were surprised by how fast it went.

Brick & Blend is a fully automated booking system for busy restaurants:

Guests choose the date, the time, and even the table they want.

They get a confirmation email right away.

They can look at the menu before they come, so they already know what they want.

The restaurant gets fewer phone calls and no missed bookings. Guests spend less time waiting and more time enjoying the night. Everything, from the booking flow to the emails, runs on Base44.

Five days ago, this was just a design concept. We built the whole thing from scratch, and today it's a live product you can try.

...to an automated digital ordering hub ✨

Coffee Village is a cozy spot in Palmela that makes incredible cappuccinos and cheesecakes, but was handling custom cake orders the totally wrong way 👎

Here is how I used @Base44 to solve this problem:

🎨 Design Quality & UX

Built a fully responsive, bilingual (PT/EN) web experience tailored to the shop's physical aesthetic - incorporating their signature wall stripes and warm wood tones - and made it fully optimized for mobile ordering, making it frictionless for regulars on the go.

⚡ Automation Depth

I also of course had to build a centralized custom cake order engine directly into the site. Here's how it works: 👉 Once an order is submitted, the backend automation fires a branded confirmation email to the customer with a recap of what they ordered. 👉 It also sends a structured operational summary straight to the owner's inbox, eliminating the scattered DMs they previously had going on.
