🏎️ Built a minimalist 2D typing speed racer: TurboType Grand Prix
Hey everyone! 👋
I've been working on a fast, distraction-free typing game called TurboType Grand Prix to help test and practice typing speed in a fun, competitive way.
Instead of typing in silence, you’re placed on a 2D asphalt circuit competing in real time against computer-controlled opponents that match your pace.
What’s inside:
Zero-Friction Racing: Land on the page, tap Space or Enter, and you’re immediately at the starting line.
Minimalist Typing Console: Clean, high-legibility word stream with letter-by-letter accuracy feedback and smooth caret positioning.
Adaptive AI Competitors: Choose between Casual (35 WPM), Moderate (55 WPM), Fast (85 WPM), or an Adaptive mode that benchmarks right alongside your live speed.
Turbo & Audio Feel: Procedural Web Audio effects including mechanical switch clicks, tire screeches through track apexes, and turbo blow-off flutter when you chain accurate streaks.
Improvement & Multi-User Profiles: Switch between different drivers and track your historical WPM progression curve over time to see how much faster you've gotten since your baseline race.
Spent the last few days diving deeper into Rive, focusing heavily on character animation and state machines to bring this fictional German learning app to life.
Learning a new language shouldn't feel like staring at a spreadsheet. Here is how I used smooth, reactive animations to make interactive feedback feel natural and engaging:
Rive CLI + Claude is truly a game changer🔥
One of the key challenges in bringing EANI to life was creating smooth, natural transitions between different emotions without abrupt jumps or visual flickering.
Using a shared character rig and Rive State Machine, I built an interactive animation system that allows EANI to switch between expressions while maintaining consistent proportions and character personality.
Each emotion features its own looping animation, with carefully designed transitions of approximately 300ms to keep the movement fluid and expressive.
From Idle to Happy, Curious, Funny, Celebration, and more, every transition is designed to feel like one continuous character rather than separate animations.
Your product might be great. Does your marketing make it look that way?
For this Base44 remake, I explored how thoughtful motion design can make a product feel more intuitive, polished and engaging.
I focused on:
→ highlighting what matters
→ building a visual flow that feels natural
→ using transitions to connect ideas
→ making every movement serve a purpose
Because good product videos don't just show what a product does. They make people want to use it.
I help SaaS and AI companies turn complex products into simple, exciting videos.
