Book-purchase verification agent for author Liz Hunt (pre-launch)
Managed agent on the OpenAI platform for a book launch: verifies a reader's proof of purchase, then delivers the free companion product or routes them to buy it, with a human fallback. Built and ready; not yet live.

Why AI Agent Demos Break in Production
An AI agent demo only has to work once, on a clean input, with you watching. In production it runs again and again on messy real inputs, and nobody's watching.
I've built AI into real products, from a repricing engine that runs 24/7 for a US Amazon seller to a voice automation platform for a company in Germany. These are the three things I put in place before any agent goes live:
1. Scoped tools, not open access
Give the agent a short list of actions it's allowed to take, each with its own limits, instead of raw access to your database or APIs. Anything that touches money, customers or deleting data needs a human to approve it.
2. A plan for when the model fails
Model calls are slow, they time out, and sometimes they return something that makes no sense. Run agent work in background jobs with timeouts and retries, check the output before acting on it, and hand the task to a person when it still can't be trusted.
3. A log of every decision
Store every input, tool call and output. When the agent does something strange (and at some point it will), you can see exactly why and fix it instead of guessing.
None of this shows up in a demo. All of it decides whether the agent is still running a month later.

"Works once with you watching" is the best way I've heard it put. Timeouts and a human fallback are the parts most demos skip.
Amazon Kindle Book Review Strategy & Reader Engagement
Getting your book in front of readers is important, but building genuine reader trust takes time. A thoughtful review strategy can help authors connect with readers, encourage honest feedback, and better understand how their books are being received.
I help authors explore practical ways to increase their books’ visibility, reach relevant reading communities, and encourage readers who have genuinely experienced their work to share their honest opinions.
What I can help with:
Reader Outreach Strategy: Identify relevant reader communities and appropriate ways to introduce your Kindle book.
Review Campaign Planning: Develop a responsible approach to encouraging voluntary, honest reviews.
Book Visibility: Explore promotional opportunities that help your title reach readers interested in its genre or subject.
Amazon Listing Review: Identify opportunities to improve your book description, keywords, and overall presentation.
Reader Engagement: Develop thoughtful follow-up messages that respect reader preferences and Amazon's policies.
Review Policy Guidance: Understand Amazon's requirements for customer reviews and Verified Purchase labels.
My approach focuses on reaching the right readers and building credibility through authentic feedback. Reviews should reflect each reader's genuine experience, without payment, pressure, or promises of a positive rating.
Whether you're launching a new Kindle title or looking to strengthen the visibility of an existing book, I can help you develop a reader-focused strategy that supports long-term growth.
Let's help your book reach readers who genuinely want to discover it.
