Ali Baba Platform — Multi-Branch Commerce & Operations System

Overview

The Ali Baba Platform is a complete, enterprise-grade e-commerce and operations system I designed and built end-to-end for a multi-branch patisserie business. It isn't a themed online store — it's the full digital backbone of the business: a fast, conversion-focused storefront on one side, and a real-time, role-gated operations console on the other, running order routing, merchandising, and analytics across every location.

The Problem

The client was outgrowing what a template platform could offer:

Generic platforms treat multi-branch operations as an afterthought — no native way to route an order to the right kitchen automatically

Cash-on-delivery is the local norm, which makes fake and prank orders a real, recurring cost in wasted ingredients and driver time

Client-side pricing — the industry-standard approach on template platforms — is a known vector for cart tampering

Discount plugins are notorious for stacking bugs that silently erode margin

The business needed one system tying together the online shop and an in-person, dine-in café menu, not two disconnected tools

Ownership wanted revenue reports built on cash actually collected, on their own local clock, not "pending" totals that overstate performance
