Level Up Your Legacy was a talk I gave at the HackGreenville Summer '25 meetup for an audience of tech entrepreneurs, developers, tinkerers, and students. What you do now matters, even if you don't know how it matters yet.
What's one question you use in discovery that makes the direction click for you?
Every project I take on starts with discovery. I’m trying to land three things: who we’re talking to, what the message is, and what’s actually being made. I go back and forth on how much to ask. Too many questions and I’m chasing details that never end up mattering. Too few and I’m following up after the first draft to fix the direction, which is a worse place to be.
Freelancers, what’s the one question where the answer makes you think, okay, I know how to move forward? Mine right now is "What do you want viewers to feel/think when they see your website".
Curious what’s working for you.
🎮 GET YOUR PASSPORT — Don't Wait Until It's Too Late.
What happens when you're invited to Los Angeles but don't have a passport or a visa? Inspired by a true story, I transformed this unexpected challenge into a nostalgic, cinematic video game adventure, exploring how the things we loved growing up can help us find our way into the future. 💙
I'm so excited to share that in just 2 months, I've made it into the top 5% of creators on Contra @Contra HQ ! 🎉
Honestly, all it took was consistency, showing up, putting in the work, and staying committed to getting better every day.
Seeing this milestone makes me incredibly happy. It's a reminder that small, consistent efforts really do add up, even when progress isn't always visible.
I'm grateful for how far I've come, but even more excited about what's ahead. This achievement gives me even more motivation to keep learning, improving my craft, and pushing myself to become better at what I do.
Two months in, and this is just the beginning. 🚀
Here's to staying consistent, embracing the journey, and celebrating the little wins along the way!
