Rmotion — Editorial & Commercial Film Booking Platform

I built Rmotion, a high-end, cloud-synced booking platform tailored specifically for film director and cinematographer Rahim Merabet. The goal was to bridge the gap between editorial visual aesthetics and an effortless, functional booking experience for commercial and event production clients.

What Was Built

Cinematic Editorial Splash Intro: Designed a modern, full-screen intro featuring studio branding, camera lens artwork, and smooth transition animations into the main app.

Interactive Booking Flow: A 4-step wizard allowing clients to select project types, pick shoot dates, choose post-production options, and add custom upgrades (e.g., Drone Aerial Coverage) with real-time price estimation.

Tri-Lingual & Native RTL Support: Full internationalization covering English, French, and Arabic, complete with automatic layout mirroring for right-to-left orientation.

Instant Digital Tickets & Direct Communication: Generates dynamic booking tickets (RM-XXXXX), pre-filled WhatsApp deep links with localized booking metadata, and print-ready PDF Call Sheet Passes.

Admin Command Center (/admin): A persistent dashboard where the creator can update services, tweak pricing, manage social links, and track pending shoot requests in real time.

Why It Was Built

Creative professionals often rely on static portfolio sites or manual back-and-forth messaging to onboard clients, which leads to slow response times and misaligned expectations. Rmotion solves this by automating the intake process—providing instant clarity on availability, services, and pricing while preserving a sleek, high-end editorial identity. Every update made in the admin panel instantly syncs to a live cloud database, ensuring cross-device consistency and seamless client interaction.

Really interesting use case. Creative bookings get complicated fast because "availability" doesn't necessarily mean the project is a fit. How are you handling the brief before confirming a booking - does Rmotion qualify the project first or can clients book directly?

One thing I’ve learned from freelancing:

Not every project needs a “yes.”

Before taking on a project, I now look at three things:

– Is the goal clear? – Is the timeline realistic? – Is there good communication?

The technology can change. The scope can change.

But a good working relationship matters throughout the project.

I’m still learning, improving, and building my freelance journey one project at a time.

Good projects start with good conversations.
