I built my own portfolio website for Phoenix Edge. π
I recently designed and developed the Phoenix Edge portfolio website as a personal project to showcase my web-development work and demonstrate the kind of digital experiences I want to build for clients.
I wanted the site to feel like more than a collection of screenshots, so I built it around a dark luxury black-and-gold visual identity, combining elegant typography, strong contrast, subtle grid details, responsive layouts, and clear conversion-focused interactions.
The website includes:
β’ Hero section with a clear value proposition and CTAs
β’ Services section explaining what I offer
β’ Portfolio section showcasing different website and web-app projects
β’ Process section showing how I take a project from idea to launch
β’ Testimonials section for social proof
β’ Responsive layouts for different screen sizes
β’ Gmail contact integration for direct enquiries
β’ WhatsApp contact button for quick conversations
β’ Clear Get a Quote and contact CTAs throughout the experience
The portfolio itself showcases different types of digital products, including business websites, e-commerce/WooCommerce websites, custom web applications, SaaS dashboards, and other responsive web experiences.
The goal was simple:
Make my own website a demonstration of what I can build for someone else.
From the visual identity and structure to the user journey and contact experience, Phoenix Edge was built to represent my approach to modern web development.
This is my portfolio. This is my work. And this is the standard I'm building toward.
Need a modern website, MVP, or web app for your business? Let's build it.
Another day of prioritising the visuals and imagining a company that doesn't exist. I promise the next one is a tech brief with barely any imagery at all, I've leaned hard on beautiful photography for twelve days straight.
Concept: a mycelium materials company producing leather, packaging and foam grown from fungal networks. The design deliberately inverts the category's defaults; biotech branding tends toward dark, clinical and electric blue, so this one goes warm and botanical, with a subtle looping video of spores drifting and mushrooms emerging. The copy pulls hard the other way: plain, technical, B2B-direct, anchored by two concrete numbers instead of sustainability adjectives.
Twelve briefs across travel, food retail, personal branding, events, landscape architecture, pet services, hospitality, coffee, lighting, wellness, restaurants and now biomaterials.
12 down, 18 to go.

Built around an editorial visual language, this template combines bold typography, subtle interactions, and an immersive layout to create a sophisticated digital presence. Showcase your work, introduce your studio, share ideas through a journal, and give potential clients a clear sense of what you do.
