Signed a new project today,, and I'm genuinely excited about this one.
Applied for it... Got shortlisted out of a big pool of applicants. Then the client came back with real, specific questions, wanted to see actual proof before committing, not just promises.
So instead of just answering, I compressed the video myself, built a live demo page, and let him judge the quality on his own screen rather than take my word for it.
That's what won it. Not the pitch. The proof.
We had the kickoff call today, and it confirmed what the brief already told me: this is a genuinely great client. Detailed, organised, and thinks about the person on the other end of the project as much as the outcome. Rare combination.
Signed and funded through Contra within the hour. Starting the build now.
A good brief and a client who communicates clearly will always beat a "bigger" project with neither. Grateful for this one.
