The NBA Finals move fast. New Yorkers needed a place where they could quickly find watch parties happening across the city without relying on scattered Instagram posts, Reddit threads, or WhatsApp groups.
With the Finals just days away, Agencra was engaged to create a single destination for discovering watch parties. Rather than building another event directory, we approached it as a product—something people could rely on throughout the series while giving organizers an easy way to keep new venues up to date.
From product strategy and UX to engineering and deployment, Agencra handled the project end to end. We designed and built a mobile-first platform centered around an interactive city map, making it easy to browse neighborhoods, discover nearby watch parties, save favorite spots, and contribute new locations. Behind the scenes, moderation tools and an admin dashboard kept information accurate as new venues and community contributions came in.
Although the first launch centered on the NBA Finals, we never treated it as a one-off campaign. From the beginning, the goal was to build something the community could continue using as it evolved. That thinking shaped everything from the data model to the moderation tools, allowing the platform to grow without becoming harder to manage.
For Agencra, that's what good software looks like. Strategy, design, and engineering move together from day one, allowing ideas to become real products in days—not months—without losing sight of the long term.
