LIFE — Full Dive Simulation
My first cinematic sci-fi project and introduction to Melius, created within a few hours.
A cinematic sci-fi concept exploring the idea that humanity entered a full-dive simulation and forgot about it.
The project combines:
atmospheric storytelling,
AI-generated scenes,
systemic sci-fi design,
and the philosophical idea of losing the boundary between simulation and reality.
Process Steps
Building a cinematic structure around the concept of "memory-restricted immersion".
Creating modular scenes for more stable AI generation.
Iterative prompt refinement to maintain a consistent visual style and atmosphere.
Generating system UI scenes and atmospheric text transitions.
Combining first-person scenes with the perspective of a hidden system.
Minimizing AI artifacts through short scene segmentation, stable lighting, and controlled composition.
Developing a unified sci-fi visual language across the entire project.

Background motion graphics for Audeo website — built in Melius
The project
Audeo is a product I'm currently designing. I needed distinctive animated background elements — section dividers that add life to the site without pulling attention from the content.
The process
Started with one base gradient — the source of truth for colors and overall vibe.
Then a node that adds a soft frosted glass layer on top.
From there, 4 parallel nodes generating different variations — one for each section of the site. Same DNA, different shapes and flow.
Final layer: very slow ambient motion on each variation. Movement is visible but never distracting from the actual content.
The whole system lives on one canvas — base → glass → variations → motion. Easy to iterate, easy to extend.
On Melius
Melius gives you real control over the process and access to multiple models in one place. I think the possibilities here are basically unlimited. I'll keep building site graphics in Melius going forward.

PROJECT: THE LAUNDRY CHAIR
Process Steps:
Conceptualization: We started with a simple photo of a cluttered laundry chair and used Mel to re-imagine it as an avant-garde art installation. We leaned into a "pretentious art critic" persona to find the hidden beauty in the chaos.
Scripting: We drafted a sophisticated script and broke it down into a 6-scene storyboard, focusing on cinematic transitions and texture-heavy visuals.
Keyframe Production: Using high-fidelity image models, we generated 9:16 vertical keyframes that established a consistent "minimalist museum" aesthetic across the entire timeline.
Cinematic Animation: Each keyframe was extended into video clips using Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0, adding dramatic dolly-ins and macro tracking shots to give the "mess" a heroic, monumental feel.
Music & Voice: We generated a tailored orchestral score and a professional narration using ElevenLabs to perfectly match the film's elevated and grand tone.
Final Assembly: All scenes were unified using the Melius Video Stitch node to produce the final 30-second submission.
Experience Feedback:
Using Melius turned a funny idea into a professional-grade creative workflow. The ability to chain text, image, video, and audio models on a single visual canvas meant we never had to leave the "flow" to manage files or prompts. Having Mel as a creative partner made the complex hurdles of video production - like scene-to-scene consistency and narrative pacing - feel effortless. The spatial nature of the canvas allowed us to see the entire film's DNA at a single glance.
This is creative direction at its best taking something ordinary and turning it into a cinematic narrative with actual artistic identity.
The consistency across visuals, motion, audio, and storytelling is what really stands out.
"The Laundry Chair” feels less like AI...
@Contra HQ is quietly building a spend card.
I noticed how it could change my personal world.
So I made an ad for it.
A thirty-second anime short in the register of Makoto Shinkai. I built the whole thing on Melius as a single node graph, and what surprised me most was how much could come out of one idea. From one concept, the canvas helped me scaffold an entire brand world. A protagonist character anchor, fifteen scene stills, the typography spreads, the editorial closing frames, the supporting visuals. What used to eat hours of deck-building and reference hunting for me came together in an afternoon.
This was also my first time using Melius for something this ambitious. The canvas made that feel collaborative like all tools were working at once. I could see how prompts were feeding into each other, where my character was drifting between frames, where the aesthetic was holding. The node graph turned prompt writing into composition.
