A funny thing happened on my way to Threads to talk about all the things I’ve been able to create with AI. Anger. Ridicule. Legit hate. The immediate assumption that I just stole something and turned it into slop. I was NOT ready for that smoke 😳 Ironically, it was ChatGPT that recommended I try Threads to create some conversation and engagement to start introducing my mobile app, CallCatch. Cool. Thanks. Funny thing is, the things I created were intended to help other business owners with their productivity (CallCatch, or my CRM app, Coterie) - and then I realized, why not make our own To Living Free business more efficient and cheaper? In less than a couple weeks, I was able to create a brand new website all while removing the exorbitant WordPress+Showit hosting fees. And then our membership site raised their rates. Challenge accepted. I completely redesigned our membership platform from scratch (seeya Thinkific) with our own customization, integrated it with our payment system and added in our own self-branded admin area to manage our paying users. Less than a month’s worth of work is saving us over $5K a year in business expenses. And somewhere along the way, I realized something: I don’t actually love “coding.” I love taking a problem, figuring out what should exist, and making it real. I build like a founder because I am one. I don’t start with code. I start with the problem, the customer, and the simplest version of the idea worth publishing. So I’m starting to open that up to other founders and business owners too. If you’ve had an app idea sitting in your head, a manual process in your business that drives you insane, or some version of “I wish there was a tool that did this…” DM me what you’ve been thinking about.
