Ballet Afrique was founded from a simple but powerful belief: exceptional talent exists everywhere, including across Africa, but talent alone is not enough. It needs access, discipline, mentorship, opportunity, and a stage on which it can be seen.
Across Africa, there are young dancers with extraordinary potential who may never have access to world-class ballet training, international networks, professional stages, scholarships, or the opportunity to be discovered. Ballet Afrique exists to change that.
Our ambition is to build more than a ballet academy. We envision a world-class institution where dancers can discover their potential, develop their craft, compete, perform, and transition into professional careers.
Through structured training, mentorship, scholarships, international collaborations, competitions, performances, and cultural exchange, Ballet Afrique will create a pathway from potential to excellence and from excellence to global recognition.
The institution will also create a platform where international dancers, teachers, choreographers, institutions, and audiences can come together in Africa to experience exceptional ballet.
Ultimately, Ballet Afrique seeks to change the perception of where great ballet can come from. We want to prove that Africa can not only participate in the global ballet conversation but can also produce, develop, celebrate, and export world-class ballet talent.
Our long-term ambition is to make Nigeria a destination where dancers from around the world come to train, perform, compete, collaborate, and experience ballet through an African perspective.
Ballet Afrique is where talent is discovered, excellence is developed, and legacy begins. Need a great hand on your next project
