Meet NUTINCHESS. A Chess Experience Built for Play, Learning, and Competition
NUTINCHESS is my entry for the Base44 Challenge.
I built NUTINCHESS to bring chess gameplay, learning, and competition together in one platform. Instead of focusing on just playing chess, I wanted to create an experience where players can challenge themselves, learn new strategies, compete with others, and track their progress.
What I built
Play Chess
Players can challenge AI opponents or play against other people online. The multiplayer experience includes worldwide matchmaking and private rooms, where players can generate a room code and share it with a friend to join their game.
In-Game Chat
Players can chat with their opponents during a game, making matches more interactive and giving them a way to communicate while playing.
Learn Chess
The learning hub includes daily puzzles, step-by-step chess lessons, an opening library, endgame practice, game analysis, and chess tips to help players improve their skills.
Player Profiles and Progress
Players can create profiles, track their ratings, review match history, monitor puzzle streaks, and unlock achievements as they progress.
Tournaments
NUTINCHESS also includes a tournament section for organizing competitive chess experiences.
The goal
I wanted to create something that goes beyond a chessboard: a platform that brings playing, learning, and player progression into one cohesive experience.
From the dark interface and warm bronze details to the chess-inspired visuals, I designed the experience around a premium, competitive identity.

I love the Automated replies from the bot
Ripcord. One pull for the day you can't go in.
You wake up ill. Client meetings, a deadline, people waiting on you. The worst part isn't the fever. It's the admin.
So I built a cord. Drag it down, say how long you're out, and Ripcord does the rest:

Shifts your deadlines by the days you lose
Writes one short note per client in your voice, sent from your own Gmail
Plans your first morning back
Keeps a receipt for every change. Hold to undo any of it.
Can't face another app? There's an MCP server too. Tell Claude "I've got the flu, clear my week" and it pulls the cord for you.
Built entirely on Base44: entities with owner-only security, 27 backend functions, Google Calendar and Gmail connectors so each user connects their own account, InvokeLLM for the notes, and an hourly workflow for the heads-up and welcome-back emails. I tested it on my own calendar: the meetings moved, the notes landed, and undo put everything back.
The design is a "Signal Room": one glowing red cord on an LED wall. It works on your phone, one-handed, from bed.
