A Prayer for Peace
Today I saw the news — the war in Gaza has stopped.
Millions of people were returning, smiling, to their shattered homes.
The pain of death has paused.
The horror of loss has ceased.
For a long time, I’ve carried just one dream — to never again hear a mother’s cry.
To never again see hunger on the screen.
To never again hear the howling of sirens.
I hate when eyes turn into ice. When fists prepare for battle.
One war less in the world today.
I pray it’s for long.
Forever.
And I pray that in my Ukraine, too, the war will end —
soon.
War reshapes how we live. Silence reshapes us back.
