As a technical content writer who covers SaaS tools, I often stare at folders or files on my laptop wondering what they were for and whether I should permanently delete them. My hands-on approach to writing means I use the tools instead of just writing about them. Building a project with the tool not only helps me demonstrate real-world use cases, but also gives me a feel of the developer experience. Writing about a tool is something I enjoy. I guess, the messy desktop look is the small price to pay.
