My entry for the #GiveItAGlow Challenge: JRP Rice & Rental πŸͺ‘
JRP Rice & Rental is a small local business run by my cousin and his partner. They manage it while both working full-time, handling deliveries and pickups before and after their shifts.
Before this project, their entire online presence was a Facebook page. Customers had to message them to ask about prices and available dates. Bookings, inventory, delivery fees, and quotations were all managed manually.
I wanted to give them more than a visual glow-up. I wanted to build something they could genuinely use.
Using @Base44, I created a complete website and business management system with:
πŸ“… A booking and availability system πŸ“ Smart location search and automatic delivery fee estimates πŸ“¦ Inventory tracking to help prevent double bookings πŸ“„ Automatically generated quotations and agreements πŸ—“οΈ Booking, delivery, and pickup calendar πŸ’° Editable pricing, inventory, and delivery settings πŸ“Έ Automatic Facebook-to-website gallery syncing πŸ“± A mobile-responsive customer experience πŸ€– An AI Superagent that sends day and night WhatsApp briefings, plus reminders before deliveries and pickups
I also designed a new logo, created a Facebook cover photo, and helped improve their automated responses so customers are directed to the new booking system.
The design was intentionally kept polished, trustworthy, and approachable. It needed to look professional without feeling too luxurious or disconnected from the customers they actually serve.
The best part is that this is not a prototype. The website is live, the business is actively using it, and they are already seeing growth in followers and customer inquiries.
This project reminded me that a meaningful transformation isn’t only about making a business look better. It’s about understanding how people work, removing the tasks that slow them down, and building something that makes running their business a little easier every day.
