Subject: Formal Appeal Regarding Account Suspension – Request for a Fair and Evidence-Based Review
Dear Contra Trust & Safety Team,
I am writing on behalf of my work partner, Vishal Singh, who operates Vishal Web Studio, to bring an unfortunate situation to your attention and respectfully request a fair and impartial review of his account suspension.
Vishal recently participated in the Base44 Challenge, where his submission received exceptional visibility, views, and community engagement. Alongside his participation, he runs Vishal Web Studio, specializing in website development, web design, and SEO services.
Due to the ongoing festival season in India and increasing workload, Vishal posted a job opportunity seeking a 3D & Interactive Motion Designer. Following this posting, an individual named Mehul Sethia (Contra profile: https://contra.com/mehul_sethia) contacted him through WhatsApp to discuss the opportunity.
During their conversation, Vishal shared details of his Base44 Challenge submission. Subsequently, Mehul allegedly demanded 50% of Vishal's potential winning prize money. Vishal declined this demand and offered $10 USD instead. However, the situation escalated when Mehul allegedly threatened to report or disqualify Vishal from the competition unless he agreed to pay the demanded 50%.
The conversation further deteriorated, with Mehul allegedly directing abusive and deeply disrespectful language toward Vishal and his parents.
There is another critical aspect of this situation that deserves your attention.
The conversation currently being presented appears to be incomplete and selectively manipulated. Significant portions of the original WhatsApp conversation are missing, creating a misleading narrative that does not accurately represent what actually happened.
We possess the complete, original conversation, along with supporting evidence, which we are fully prepared to submit for verification. We strongly request that Contra review the entire conversation rather than reaching a conclusion based on incomplete screenshots or selectively presented messages.
Vishal is a hardworking individual who has invested considerable time, effort, and dedication into building his professional presence and participating in the Contra community. His achievement in the Base44 Challenge represents genuine work and commitment. This incident has already caused considerable emotional and professional distress, and the account suspension has made the situation even more difficult.
We are not asking Contra to overlook any legitimate violation of its policies. We are simply requesting that the matter be investigated objectively, with both sides' evidence considered before a final decision is made.
We respectfully request the following:
A comprehensive review of the complete, original WhatsApp conversation.
Verification of the authenticity and completeness of the evidence submitted by both parties.
An investigation into the alleged threats, financial demands, and abusive behaviour.
An opportunity for Vishal to present his complete evidence and explain his side of the situation.
A reconsideration of the account suspension and reinstatement if no violation by Vishal is established.
We believe that every member of the Contra community deserves a fair opportunity to be heard, particularly when allegations are based on potentially incomplete or misleading evidence.
We have full confidence that a thorough and impartial investigation will help establish what actually happened.

I Found 70 Spam Comments on My Own Website This Morning 😅
Yes. Mine.
I build and fix websites for a living. And this morning I opened my own dashboard to find:
❌ 70 comments waiting for approval, almost all of them betting sites, adult links and “great post, admin!” bots.
❌ 16 plugins sitting there with updates waiting.
❌ Contact forms with zero spam protection.
Nothing was “broken.” The site still loaded. Still looked fine.
That’s exactly the problem.
Most website problems don’t announce themselves. They build up quietly in the background while you’re busy running your business.
Outdated plugins become security gaps.
Spam comments make a site look abandoned.
Unprotected forms flood your inbox until you stop checking it, and miss the one real enquiry that mattered.
So here’s what I did:
✔ Updated every plugin (with backups first)
✔ Added a spam filter for comments
✔ Added hidden spam protection to every form
✔ Cleared out the 70 spam comments
Less than an hour. But only because I actually looked.
A website isn’t something you launch and forget.
It’s more like a car. It runs fine… until the day it doesn’t.
