The Beauty Between Them
A deformed couple facing each other
Wenceslaus Hollar, after Leonardo da Vinci, 1645
Etching, second state of two
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object 17.50.18-209.
Wenceslaus Hollar's 1645 etching, after Leonardo da Vinci, depicts two figures facing one another with deliberately exaggerated facial features. The work explores a striking encounter through distortion, expression, and close observation.
The Beauty Between Them asks a simple question: What if beauty exists in the eyes of the person looking at you?
Inspired by Hollar's A deformed couple facing each other, I kept the figures' distinctive features rather than correcting or beautifying them. Instead, I transformed the world around their encounter. Their shared gaze becomes the source of warmth, tenderness, and beauty, as though the way they see each other changes reality itself.
I wanted the work to challenge the idea that beauty is an objective quality, and instead explore it as something created through recognition, affection, and perception.
Love in air😇😇
Thanks for asking, @benjaminchua! It's actually a hybrid generative AI & digital motion piece inspired by Wenceslaus Hollar's 1645 etching (after Leonardo da Vinci). I preserved the original expressive facial geometry and built the cinematic atmosphere using generative video pipelines and After Effects grading.

I worked on Brief 05 of the @makeyourbrief challenge: a brand identity for Timberline, a luxury ranch and equestrian retreat. I hand-drew the horse symbol with a marker, paired it with a clean modern wordmark and an earthy palette, and extended it into merch and lodge photography using AI under my own art direction, with retouching by hand.

That's really incredible great job Andreu❤️❤️

Is AI finally good enough to shoot a product demo on its own, or human touch is still needed?
I generated a 20s product demo with Seedance 2.5 in a single take providing it with one product image reference and an example video transcript (posted in the comments).
